Does Viagra really lower blood pressure? Have you noticed this personally. If Viagra lowers blood pressure, then why is is it considered problematic for people who have high blood pressure. That part doesn't make sense to me.

Yes, Viagra lowers blood pressure, although not as much as alpha or beta blockers. I don't think it is actually dangerous for people who have high BP if they dont take their BP meds while on Viagra.

Yes. You are right. Men who have low BP to begin with are the ones who are at higher risk with Viagra. But Pfizer also gives warning to those with high BP because those are the men who would already be on BP lowering meds and Viagra would just cause accentuated lowering of blood pressure.

This was clinically measured you know. Viagra does lower BP.

As you can see at peak concentration sildenafil 100mg caused an average of 15mmHg lowering of systolic blood pressure. One would think people with high blood pressure can take Viagra safely if they skip their BP meds for the day.
